I'm stuck in the throes of a creative slump.  It doesn't help that I got an Xbox 360 for Christmas, or that it's AWESOME, or that I got "Fallout 3" with it, or that it, too, is FREAKIN' AWESOME.  Mind you, that's only one reason.  It's part slacking, part genuine dry-spell.  Nothing I come up with really catches my attention that long.  I'm always coming up with a new idea and thinking, "oh, hahaha, that's really cool," but then I mull over it, turn it over in my head, then I'm thinking, "ah, jeez, that'll never work."  Of course, being an artist means exposing yourself, so maybe I shouldn't be overanalyzing my brain farts.  Criticism isn't my enemy, censorship is.

Since I last typed in this box, I've spent two months away from home.  I'm not kidding.  For about two months, I was working on the opposite end of the city as part of this on-site support thing for work.  Living out of my apartment would have run me ragged, so my parents offered me the use of their condo.  They're only in it when they're in the area, so they only needed to use it for 1-2 days during that time, and that was on the weekend.  So, that was my life pretty much for most of September, all of October, and the first week of November 2008.  Pretty nuts, but I'm glad to be back.  If my boss asked me to do it again, however... I wouldn't necessarily say "no"...

I got physical therapy for my ankle.  It's feeling much better, but now I gotta lose about 20 lbs. so I'm not crushing it under the weight of Me.  My brother Paul moved into the area, and I've been happy to see more of him.  He lived in New Jersey for a few years and liked it at first, but the magic faded after a while (granted, the power of New Jersey to sway one's heart is debatable).

Did I mention "Fallout 3"?  Yes, I did.  FREAKIN' AWESOME.
